Skewness

Like mean and variance, which calculate the distribution of a random variable, that skewness of a distribution measures whether the distribution is symmetrical or not. A symmetric distribution has a skewness of O. If the tail of the distribution is long and in the positive direction, then it has positive skewness. If the distribution has a long tail in the negative direction, then the skewness is negative.
